Repository Policy

The Repository Policy implemented by QUAERENS: Journal of Theology and Christianity Studies allows authors to submit all versions of their articles to any repository they choose. This policy provides flexibility in how authors can self-archive versions of their work on their own web pages, institutional repositories, or other repositories. It aims to enhance the visibility and accessibility of the authors' research findings.

The policy explicitly permits the following sites for article deposition:

  • Institutional repositories operated by domestic and foreign universities or non-profit research institutions.

  • Websites of research funding organizations that have provided support for the research in the article.

  • The author's own website.

  • Non-commercial online thesis archives.

Three versions of the article are allowed to be deposited:

  1. Submitted Version: The first version of the article submitted by the author before undergoing the peer review process.

  2. Accepted Version: The version of the article accepted by the editor after peer review and revisions, but not yet published.

  3. Published Version: The final, edited version of the article that is officially published in the journal.

Authors are permitted to deposit all three versions in the aforementioned repositories without any embargo. This means that authors are not restricted by time on when and where they can upload their work, allowing them to share their research findings with the broader academic community or the public as soon as the article is accepted or published.

This policy supports the journal’s commitment to open access and facilitates authors in distributing their work across various storage platforms or repositories that are freely accessible. It also reflects the journal's dedication to promoting open knowledge dissemination and supporting the sustainability of research.
