QUAERENS: Journal of Theology and Christianity Studies is a fully open-access, peer-reviewed journal committed to the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI). The journal believes that providing immediate and unrestricted access to scholarly research promotes the global exchange of knowledge, advances academic collaboration, and increases the visibility, accessibility, and impact of scientific research.
All articles published in QUAERENS: Journal of Theology and Christianity Studies are made immediately and permanently available online upon publication, without subscription fees, registration requirements, or embargo periods. Readers may access the full text of all published articles free of charge.
Under this policy:
- All published articles are freely and permanently accessible immediately upon publication.
- Readers may read, download, copy, print, search, link to, distribute, and share the full text of articles without financial, legal, or technical barriers, provided that the terms of the journal's license are respected.
- Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) License, which permits non-commercial use, sharing, adaptation, and redistribution of the work in any medium or format, provided appropriate credit is given to the original author(s), a link to the license is provided, and any modifications are indicated. Any derivative works must be distributed under the same license.
- Authors retain full and unrestricted copyright to their published work. The journal does not require authors to transfer copyright. Authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish and identify itself as the original publisher.
- Authors are free to deposit the submitted, accepted, and published versions of their articles in institutional repositories, disciplinary repositories, personal websites, or other trusted platforms, provided that the original publication in the journal is properly acknowledged.
- Article Processing Charge (APC): IDR 1,500,000 (approximately USD 100). The APC is charged only after a manuscript has successfully completed the peer-review process and has been formally accepted for publication. There is no submission fee. The APC supports editorial management, peer-review administration, copyediting, typesetting, DOI registration, online publication, digital preservation, website maintenance, and long-term accessibility of published articles.
- Every published article receives a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and is preserved through long-term digital archiving services to ensure permanent accessibility.
- The journal provides article-level metadata to indexing services, repositories, and discovery systems to maximize the dissemination and visibility of published research.
By publishing in QUAERENS: Journal of Theology and Christianity Studies, authors contribute to a sustainable open-access publishing model that ensures the widest possible dissemination and long-term preservation of scholarly knowledge while maintaining rigorous editorial standards and ethical publishing practices.
