Pelayanan Musik Dalam Praktik Ibadah Gerejawi

Abstract
Musik berperan penting dalam kegiatan peribadahan gerejawi, yang di dalamnya umat secara komunal memuji dan menyembah Allah. Seiring pesatnya perkembangan zaman, gereja diperhadapkan dengan perkembangan musik yang sangat pesat. Berbagai kekeliruan dalam motivasi dan penggunaan musik gereja pun tidak terhindarkan. Pemahaman akan konsep dan tujuan yang benar dari penggunaan musik gereja sudah mulai bergeser. Artikel ini akan memaparkan tentang pentingnya musik sebagai sarana yang mendukung interaksi umat dan Tuhan dalam peribadahan gerejawi. Pertama, gereja perlu memberikan pemahaman bahwa musik yang dipersembahkan umat dalam ibadah adalah dari Allah dan untuk mempermuliakan Allah. Kedua, pemakaian musik yang mendukung peribadahan seharusnya proporsional dalam gereja. Ketiga, gereja dapat mempersiapkan para pembina yang baik bagi kebutuhan pelayanan musik dan ibadah.
